My first riding lesson took place when I was 11 YO in Chambery France.
In 1989, while studying at an equestrian high school, I met an equine and human physical therapist instructor who introduced me to equine physical therapy. The beginning of a passion.
I began training horses and starting youngsters under saddle professionally at the age of 19.
In 1998, I earned the French Sport Ministry's BEES1 Horse Riding Instructor Degree from the Orsay Riding School, Paris, France.
While attending the equestrian school, an experience started to shape my future in equine health. I came into contact with a mare who had become badly injured during cross country training. This mare named Damas, had an extensor tendon severed on her foreleg and was missing a large part of her chest. I am unsure how the accident happened as I was not present during that training. I assume care for Damas. This was my first full rehabilitation case: from cleaning her wounds, feeding her by hand, giving her the will to live, and teaching her how to walk again. I ended up buying Damas. She is now 34 YO.
During all the years I trained horses, I came across many with physical problems which prevented them to perform to their full ability. That encouraged me to extend my knowledge and to start studying at the London College of Animal Osteopathy. I obtained my degree in 3 years.
